70th REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

"Ask not what your country can do for you, Ask what you can do for the country."

St.Xavier’s High School, Deoghar celebrated 70th Republic Day in the school ground with great pomp and show. The huge gathering of students and parents added the beauty of the occasion. Everyone felt the pride and patriotism on their national festival. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolour, the pride and glory of the nation by the revered Chief Guest Shri Pankaj Srivastava, Rtd. District Judge from Deoghar and Ranchi.    March past by the students marked the occasion with a sense of discipline, devotion, dedication and progress. The Chief Guest Shri Pankaj Srivastava addressed the gathering highlighting the concept of fundamental rights and duties. He expressed his concern that duties are being neglected as the people only talk of their rights. 

The Principal of our School Dr. N. Santhosh Kumar also addressed the children and parents. He gave a message that rights and duties should go side by side. The honourable secretary Shri Sanjeet Ray inspired the gathering to strenghen a sense of nationality. He further added that every individual should contribute to make a new India. Everyone felt warned up with patriotic fervour. The celebration was followed by variety of skits and cultural programmes. Tableau presentation by Class I and II was special attraction of the occasion. Soumya a student of the school warmed up the winter morning by narrating the sacrifices and services of the soldiers at the borders. Overall, the celebration of the 70th Republic Day filled up the air with patriotism and pride. Ultimately the celebration ended with a vote of thanks to one and all who directly or indirectly contributed to make the programme a grand success.

    Students pay homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose On His Birth Anniversary

    India is a country which always recognised the contributions of its freedom fighters, leaders and martyrs. To instil dedication, sincerity and fighting spirit, students of St. Xavier’s High School, Deoghar celebrated Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s Jayanti as ‘Des Prem Diwas’ on 23rd January 2019.Special assembly was organised by the students of Yamuna House which comprised of thoughts and teachings of Netaji.  Nawni Swaraj of Class IX recited an inspirational poem on the life and teachings of Netaji. A speech on the life and achievements of Netaji was also delivered by Ankit Kumar of Class IX. Slogans like “Freedom is not given, it is taken” and “You give me blood and I will give you Independence!” reminded about his great sacrifice for the country.

    A melodious group song was also sung. Students from both Primary and Senior wing performed a beautiful dance filling everyone with a spirit of patriotism. At the end the Principal Dr. N. Santhosh Kumar, in his motivational speech encouraged the students to upkeep the freedom of the country which is hard earned and ask ourselves what we can do for the country.

      Students  of St. Xavier's High School, Deoghar Shine in JEE-MAINS, 2019

      The students of SXHS, Deoghar came out with flying colours in JEE-MAINS, 2019 conducted by CBSE.
      Like last year, this year too, the students performed excellently in JEE-MAINS and added feathers to their caps bringing laurels to the school.
      Among the successful students, Satyam Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Sohum Gupta, Saumya Shikhar Raj, and Anshu Kumar performed exceptionally well making the school proud of their achievement.
      Satyam Kumar scored 99.2 percentile. This has not only made the school proud but the entire town of Deoghar is honoured by this achievement.
      On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. N. Santhosh Kumar, expressed his delight and congratulated the students and their parents. He also wished them luck for JEE-ADVANCED. He said that it is indeed a moment which will be cherished by the entire family of St. Xavier's High School, Deoghar.
