St.Xavier’s High School, Deoghar
Independence Day
The entire campus of
St.Xavier’s High School was overflowing with a sense of
nationality and devotion to the nation. After all, it was our 73rd
Independence Day. The flag was hoisted by our principal Dr. N. Santhosh Kumar
as well as the school manager Sri Jitendra Jajware. March past was done by our
school children divided in four houses, their colourful dresses were adding to
the beauty of the celebration. The campus was out packed with students, parents
and guardians. Patriotism towards nation seems to be teeming in the minds and
hearts of the people present in the campus. Really it was a great celebration. The
theme for the programmes was ‘The journey from Ancient to Modern Life’. All the
programmes were designed and drafted to show the differences to establish our
past glory. Through his speech he made a call to the student community to
respect the parents, teachers and elders. He also reminded us for the fortunes
and sacrifices which our ancestors faced. The floral tribute was given to
martyrs such as Khudi Ram Bose, Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad,
Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru etc. Students performed very well. The
programmes produced a very clean picture from ancient to Modern India in all
the aspects of human life. Ultimately, the programme was ended and left a
lasting impression on each and everyone present in the school premise.
